Hi, and welcome to our website. If you are a member, you can come here to find out what is coming up and look at pictures from past rides. If you are not yet a member, we would love it if you would try us out.
HOG is the largest motorcycle group in the world and San Jose HOG is proud to be the chapter for San Jose Harley-Davidson. I want to let you know SJHOG is here for you. Our sole purpose is to ride and have fun and we would really like you to be a part of it. If you would like to ride with us on group rides, we have rides every Saturday and every other Sunday. If you would like to ride by yourself or with just a couple of your friends, we have routes that see some amazing country all over California. If you are new with riding and would like to just go with one person, we have members who would be happy to ride with you on the type of ride you want to go on. We have an annual picnic and Christmas/Holiday Party, but our focus is on riding and having fun. We want to hear from you and are very interested in anything we can do to make your Harley-Davidson more fun for you.

California Coast Discovery Tour
Scavenger Hunt 2024
Rules and Instructions
This year our Scavenger Hunt will be the California Coast Discovery Tour. You will be provided with a coastal town or city with a couple of cliff notes about things the area is known for, these are simply suggestions. The object is for each individual rider to share with the rest of the group something from the location that they discovered, that had the greatest impact on them. It can be a great restaurant, dessert location, coffee shop, photo opportunity on the coast, or lookout point. It can be anything but has to be able to be verified as an actual location in the said town or city. The photo must include your Harley as well as a copy of the current season Scavenger Hunt flyer.
The intention is to allow everybody a little bit of flexibility, and hopefully be able to share something that you have discovered during this particular ride or on a previous ride of something in the area that had a great impact on them, and they would like to share with the rest of the group and hopefully in the process we introduce people to some area locations or photo opportunities that they haven’t discovered on their own.
There will be two prizes this year. The first prize will go to the rider that has acquired the most locations the fastest. The second prize will go to a random rider via random draw. Each rider will get one entry for every location they have achieved. One location will achieve one entry, 11 locations will achieve 11 tickets to be entered into the drawing, everybody who participates will have an opportunity to win. (Winner of First prize is excluded from the random draw Second prize.
HAPPY MOTORING!
Welcome to 2024. We wanted to continue our incentive rider program continuing what we began last year. Our goal is to get 100% participation this year. We want you to get out and enjoy yourself on your Harley-Davidson motorcycles and we’re putting our money where our mouths are. Each month we will be giving away 2 gas cards. The first is for the member that logs the most miles for that month and the second will be given to a member selected at random from all the members that logged miles that month. We are using the Harley-Davidson Ride365 to gather mileage for this award and you just go to San Jose Harley-Davidson (1551 Parkmoor Ave) to get set up and then to log your miles.
The nitty gritty:
1. Award Period is 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2024
2. You must be an active member of San Jose HOG with your mileage counted toward the chapter’s mileage.
3. We will download the chapter miles from the Ride365 site the last day of the month.
4. Mileage readings from the Ride365 site are the sole source for mileage data.
5. Mileage for the month is computed by subtracting the last mileage posted by the member from the current mileage posted.
6. The winner of the most miles is not eligible for the random mileage drawing.
7. No more than 5 gas cards will be awarded annually to an individual member as a part of this award program.
The San Jose H.O.G. Chapter stresses family fun and safety, promotes friendship among Harley-Davidson riders and motorcycle riders in general. The San Jose Chapter sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year. Riding is our key focus and we have rides every Saturday and every other Sunday. At least twice a year we have parties to bring riders and families together and we sponsor two charity runs each year. The San Jose Chapter is a member of the Bay Area Directors alliance and the membership participates in other statewide H.O.G. runs and events whenever possible. We encourage anyone that likes to ride, have fun, and the desire to belong to a group that enjoys Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and family fun activities, to join us on a ride or attend one of our monthly chapter meetings.
Our Purpose: To RIDE and have FUN.
San Jose H.O.G. is proudly sponsored by
We live in one of the best motorcycling areas in the world. Every direction you go, you hit fabulous scenery and fun and exciting roads. Typically, our Saturday rides are day-long affairs. We meet at San Jose H-D, normally at 9:00 and we hit the road at 9:30. Some of our rides go North to the wine country, some East to the delta. We often head South to the Central Valley and of course, West takes us to the coast. Whether it's mountain roads or country roads, the idea is to have fun. We focus on safety and making sure everyone has a great time. Sunday focuses on closer destinations. The rides are typically 2-3 hours and under 100 miles. We'll normally have a sweet treat or a non-alcoholic beverage. We meet at San Jose H-D at 1:00 with a 1:30 KSU.
This is an easy one to answer! You did not buy one of the best motorcycles in the world to look at it in the garage. A Harley-Davidson is made to ride and that's what we do. The open road and fabulous company call to us. The world is a completely different place from the back of a motorcycle. The sole purpose of the HOG at San Jose is to ride and have fun. Come and join us and see some of the best motorcycle roads in the country!
